Fee Structures

Garrington offer a wide range of property services, each with their own fee charging structures. On a number of occasions our services can become self-funding through the discounts we may be able to achieve, through expert negotiation when agreeing a transaction for a client. The overview below explains the key elements of our fee structures, but please do contact us for further information.

Purchase

Retaining fee – Payable on instruction prior to the commencement of the search. Retaining fees are fully deductible from the final success fee.
Search length – Six months.

Success fee – The success fee is calculated as a percentage of the final purchase price.
Payable – Upon legal completion or twenty one days after exchange of contracts, whichever is sooner.

Rental

Retaining fee – Payable upon instruction prior to the commencement of the search.
Search Length – Dependent on requirements.

Success fee – 10% of annual rent.
Payable – Upon signing rental agreement.

Overseeing sales

Retaining fee – Payable upon instruction prior to the commencement of the search. Retaining fees are fully deductible from the final success fee.
Search length – Six months.

Success fee – A percentage of the final sale price.
Payable – Upon exchange of contracts.

Orientation hours

Orientation tours are charged per day for an accompanied tour of up to three areas of previewed properties. Advice is given on property styles, local area information and schools as required.

This service is particularly useful if you are considering a new area, however, are not ready to commit to a purchase as yet. Depending on your brief, tours can be tailored to your requirements.

Negotiation only

Terms and fees are stipulated on an individual case basis.
Payable – Upon exchange of contracts.
