The most expensive property in the UK is largely situated in London, mostly in the boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster. With many exquisite properties located in the areas of Kensington, Knightsbridge, Chelsea and Belgravia with addresses such as Kensington Palace Gardens, Grosvenor Crescent and The Boltons amongst some of the most exclusive addresses in Britain.

Outside of London there are many ‘millionaires rows’, the most desirable addresses house properties that rarely come up for sale and when they do there is often fierce competition no matter of the market conditions in the local area.

Property in Surrey

After London, Surrey is the area with the most exclusive addresses, with direct and fast links into the capital it is no surprise that Surrey is such a popular place to live.

Addresses such as Leys Road and Moles Hill in Leatherhead, Icklingam Road, Fairmile Avenue and Harebell Hill in Cobham and Abbots Drive and Nuns Walk in Virginia Water are some of the most desirable places to live. Amongst other towns and villages Esher, East Molesey and Weybridge also boast streets filled with luxury houses.

This is only a small sample of roads and areas, Surrey is filled with prestigious property.

Houses in Berkshire

Neighbouring Surrey is the small county of Berkshire, the towns of Ascot, Windsor and Maidenhead are popular places to reside just west of London.

In particular Fireball Hill and Fishers Wood in Ascot are of note along with Kings Road in Windsor and Fishery Road in Maidenhead.

Luxury homes in Buckinghamshire

North of London the home county of  Buckinghamshire is the location of many exclusive UK addresses, these streets can be found in the likes of Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross and Chalfont St Giles.

The Chalfonts is a collection of villages, Chalfont St Giles, Chalfont St Peter and Little Chalfont, and the location of some of the country’s most exclusive addresses.

Property in the home counties

There are many cities, towns and villages throughout the home counties which house some of the country’s most desirable and exclusive property. Such as those in Radlett in Hertfordshire, Hartfield in East Sussex and Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire.

The city of Oxford, in Oxfordshire is filled with period property and impressive houses, such as those on Charlbury Road.

Coastal property in the South West

In Poole, Dorset, the Sandbanks area has some of the most expensive beachfront property in the world. A small peninsula located on the English channel Sandbank’s exclusive property is highly sought after.

In Cornwall properties surrounding the Camel Estuary such as those in Rock and Padstow and those on the Fal Estuary in St Mawes, Falmouth and Truro are all popular places to own a home, especially those with direct, uninterrupted sea views and a private mooring.

Off market property in Cambridge

Many of Cambridge’s most desirable properties change hands entirely off market meaning unless you’re in the know and talking to the right people you’re not likely to be aware of them ever being for sale.

Some of the city’s most expensive properties are situated close the main buildings of Cambridge University in the CB2 and CB3 postcodes. Several roads of note in Cambridge which demand high property prices are Newton Road, Millington Road and Storeys Way. Generally properties in the Trumpington area are very sought after.

Luxury homes in the North West

There are several areas in north west England which command property values much higher than the national average property price.

The areas of Alderley Edge, The Wirral, Altrincham and Knutsford are desirable places to live. In particular addresses such as those of the properties on Congleton Road in Alderley Edge, Park Drive in Altrincham and Castle Hill in Macclesfield are very sought after places to live.

Prime property in the North East

In the north east of England Harrogate in Yorkshire has some of the country’s most exclusive addresses including Rutland Drive and Fulwith Mill Lane to name a few.

The “golden triangle” which sits between Harrogate, Wetherby and north Leeds is where you’ll find many of the regions luxury homes.

Homes in the East Midlands

In the East Midlands the small county of Rutland has many exquisite properties, the town of Oakham is where you’re like to find the most exclusive addresses in the county such as Lyndon Road. Property with views of Rutland Water are also highly desirable.

Stamford in Lincolnshire is filled with period property that rarely comes to the market for sale and many vendors choose to market their properties discreetly away from property portals.

Other exclusive addresses in the region include Warren Hlll in Leicester and Croft Road in Nottingham to name but a few.
